MiCorp in association with Nicci Leung of Outer Edge Design have created this stunning design incorporating the unique features of this pristine tropical beach environment with modern technology. The design reflects the Queensland modern, tropical environment based on strong environmental principles with natural building materials, timber louvres and ceiling fans for natural ventilation and wide external eaves providing shade. Furniture packages will be designed and supplied by Coco Republic.

The Apartments are designed to provide contemporary lifestyle, with the ability to completely open the bottom level and capture views of landscape, and encourage natural light and ventilation. The apartments are arranged around the perimeter, to ensure privacy for each apartment and so that each apartment is connected to the external and internal setting of the development. Privacy for each deck is provided via beautifully detailed bamboos screens designed to provide visual screening but allow the passage of light and fresh air.

The Retail area will provide large, modern and creative retail spaces incorporating high ceilings and maximising visible frontage for each shop. Our goal is to incorporate architecture that reflects the Queensland modern, tropical environment based on strong environmental principles focusing on natural building materials, timber louvers and ceiling fans to increase natural ventilation and wide external eaves to provide weather protection. The roof will act as an “umbrella” awning providing full weather protections from the intense heat and frequent rainfall characteristic of the wet tropical environment in Far North Queensland.
